Jemison Park Fall Engagement | Madison & Jake

Happy wedding week to Madison and Jake! Their wedding is coming up this weekend at The Barn at Shady Lane. Before we get to the excitement of their big weekend, I wanted to share photos from their Jemison Park fall engagement session! Madison and Jake have spent the past year planning their fall wedding. From the first time we spoke, Madison was excited to celebrate their marriage during such a beautiful time of year. In Alabama, our leaves are at their peak color in early to mid November, so we’re all excited to savor the colors of a truly fall wedding.

Last November, In honor of the season and about a year before Madison and Jake’s wedding, we planned their engagement session. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful fall foliage by taking photos at one of our favorite outdoor spots, Jemison Park. Madison and Jake are high school sweethearts – in fact, they were neighbors as teenagers! They’ve been dating for years, and as I photographed them, I saw a sweetness and genuine care for each other that has undoubtedly come from their years of growing together as a couple. They were a joy to spend time with! It’s always so wonderful to get to know a couple before their wedding, and engagement sessions are an incredible opportunity to do so!
