Baby Leni

Wedding photography takes center stage in most of my blog posts. Weddings are couples are the vast majority of what I photograph and spend my time on behind-the-scenes! But there’s something else I photograph that I don’t share about quite as often. Once or twice a week, I have the privilege of photographing some the most precious families – sometimes for a quick family photo session, and other times for a longer session together, or for newborn photos.

Today I’m sharing a few photos from one of my favorite newborn sessions from last fall – sweet little Leni (short for Helen! Don’t you love a sweet nickname?) and her family. Her mom and I have been dear friends for years, and one of the sweetest parts of being a photographer is getting to photograph my close friends and their families. We all got together on a beautiful fall afternoon for a few front porch family photos and some individual photos of Leni. We even used the same quilt for Leni’s photos that we took her big brother’s newborn photos with! (You can see photos from big brother’s newborn session here.)
