Country Club of Birmingham Wedding

Let’s set the scene: A gorgeous early spring Saturday full of sunshine (with a few perfectly placed clouds in the sky). The refined beauty of the historical Country Club of Birmingham. A buzz of anticipation in the air as family and friends gathered. And a happy couple who were absolutely thrilled to celebrate the start of their marriage. Virginia and Brian’s Country Club of Birmingham Wedding was thoughtful, sentimental, and designed with the intention of spending plenty of time with the people they love the most. The day felt calm, family-oriented, and full of sweet, celebratory interactions between the bride and groom.

From the beautiful appliqué details of Virginia’s wedding dress, to the thoughtful inclusion of her mom’s wedding veil, to allowing her bridesmaids to choose their own dresses in shades of blue (one of my favorite trends in weddings at the moment!), and the continuation of the “blue” theme in Virginia’s sapphire jewelry — the little details woven throughout the day were a joy to look for.

Even the wedding itself was intentional. Virginia and Brian held their ceremony on the Club’s terrace, with only family members and their wedding party present. The rest of their guests arrived for the reception and were greeted with a warmly celebratory mood. The party never dipped in energy and the dance floor was constantly full, especially when Virginia’s dad brought out his dance moves!
