St. Luke’s Episcopal Wedding

Molly and Pat are 100% joy and laughter. When I met them for the first time, Molly told me, “we both think the other person is the funniest one in the room” and they’re absolutely right. Their happiness is contagious, and we saw it spread amongst their families, friends, and everyone they encountered on their wedding day. Their St. Luke’s Episcopal Wedding was overflowing with joy.

Molly grew up attending St. Luke’s, and her godfather presided over her and Pat’s wedding ceremony. The weekend was full of stories of her childhood at the church, and it was incredibly special to see such a close figure in her life perform the ceremony. Friends from all stages of life supported Molly and Pat as bridesmaids and groomsmen. Spontaneous moments of celebration popped up throughout the entire day. (See the black and white photo of the bridesmaids throwing their bouquets up in the air right before the ceremony? That was a spur-of-the-moment Shania Twain sing-along).

The reception was at Iron City, the perfect place for a long night of dancing. I’ve never seen a dance floor stay so full for so long at a wedding. And the cherry on top of a fun-filled evening: Molly changed into a second dress before the night was over – a reconstruction of her mother’s wedding dress.

I can’t emphasize enough just how much fun we had with Molly and Pat. Witnessing the start of their marriage filled us with so much joy, and it was a treat to photograph.
