Otter Creek Farmstead Wedding

If I could describe Morgan and Grant’s Otter Creek Farmstead Wedding with only one word, it would be “presence”. I noticed each of them consistently pausing throughout the day to spend a few minutes with each of their family members, friends, and guests. Whether it was giving a thoughtful gift, reminiscing on a favorite memory, or laughing at an inside joke, I witnessed countless moments that honored the relationships in their lives. This level of presence is something I don’t often see on a wedding day, but Morgan and Grant are nothing if not intentional. They spent time soaking up every little detail of their interactions with their loved ones.

Leading up to the wedding, Morgan shared with me how much she loves a candid approach to photography. She most looked forward to framing the “raw moments” and gravitated towards black and white, blurry, and genuine photographs. She wanted to take the time to step aside, breathe, and re-center at some point during her wedding. We were able to achieve this by sneaking away from their reception for a few minutes of sunset photos. We went to an area of the property away from the buzz of their wedding reception, took a few photos, and gave the newlyweds a few minutes alone to take in at their reception from afar.
