Battle-Friedman House Tuscaloosa Wedding

A Battle-Friedman House wedding in Tuscaloosa perfectly fit Lauren and John’s vision for their wedding day. Both are University of Alabama graduates with a dear love for their alma mater. Returning to their college town to celebrate their marriage was the starting thought for planning their wedding. After selecting the Battle-Friedman house as their venue, their vision became one of an early summer garden party on the grounds of a historic home. It was a beautiful wedding, and fit their vision and style to a tee!

Lauren’s father is a watercolor artist and is involved in the artists’ community in her hometown of Andalusia. He not only illustrated part of their invitation suite, but had a fellow artist come to the wedding to paint multiple live paintings throughout the wedding day. Other thoughtful details included photo charms pinned on Lauren’s bouquet of both her parents and John’s parents on their wedding days, and thoughtfully placed sandalwood fans around the centerpieces at the reception for guests to beat the summer heat. Pink and orange florals added a punch of color to the other classic design elements of the day. 

Having Lauren and John’s family and friends come together to celebrate the start of their marriage created one of the most joyful atmospheres. The dance floor was constantly full, hugs were plenty, and well wishes were heard scattered throughout the evening.
