Happy wedding week to Anna and Stephen! Before getting to the excitement of their wedding day, I wanted to take a moment to share a few of their Highland Park engagement photos.
From the very first conversation I had with Anna, to every other interaction we’ve had since, she’s brought a sense of total calmness to planning her wedding with Stephen. Working with them has been a joy, and I’m so excited for their wedding this Saturday!
Anna and Stephen were my last photography session of 2020. Spending an hour with them was such a lovely way to top off such a surreal year of work! We met up in the Highland Park neighborhood in Birmingham, and specifically spent our time around Rhodes Park. It’s a little hidden gem of a photo location! We took photos in the final hour before sunset, and the golden light shining through the trees was a dream!
Here’s what I love about engagement photos –
They remind us of an exact season in our relationship and all of the beauty and growth that came with it. Engagement photos don’t lose their meaning on your wedding day. If anything, they take on more significance because of all that you’ve experienced together since the day you took them. Your engagement will be a season marked by growing together as you prepare for your marriage. It’s full of feelings of anticipation and excitement for your wedding! My hope as a photographer is that looking through engagement photos will always remind the couples I work with of the time they spent preparing for their marriage.
Enjoy photos from Anna and Stephen’s session, and If you know anyone looking for a Birmingham wedding or engagement photographer, send them my way! I’d love to help them savor and celebrate this season of their relationship with photographs.
