This past spring, I spent a few days in New Orleans with one of my go-to travel friends. It is truly unlike any other city I’ve visited! The colors, the music, the food, the “Louisiana French” pronunciations of street names. This past December, my family took a trip to “The Big Island” of Hawaii. In 2016, we saw a lot of exciting milestones, (two graduations, an engagement, new jobs…) so we thought it was fitting to celebrate by crossing the Pacific and closing out the year on a tropical island.
I recently spent a long weekend visiting New York for the first time. The city has been on my travel list for a very long time, and it was just as magical as I had hoped it would be! Sometimes, I can have such high expectations for how a trip or an experience will go, then it’s nothing like I hoped. I was terrified that would be the case with this weekend, but I was so wrong!
