Anna and Andy chose to have their engagement photos taken at two iconic Birmingham locations – Historic Morris Avenue and Railroad Park. Their wedding is this coming weekend, and in celebration of their wedding week, here are a few favorite picks from their session!
This may sound incredibly cliche (I’ve heard someone else say this about a trip, and thought it was cheesy until I experienced it for myself), but I now think about my life as “Before England” and “After England”. This trip was better than I ever could have hoped for, and put in motion so many beautiful things in my life related to my career, health, relationships… I don’t know how it will ever be topped.
The night before their wedding, before their rehearsal dinner and the rest of the weekend’s festivities, Sarah and PJ made time for a quick portrait session in Downtown Birmingham.
“When we have a baby, I want you to do our newborn session” – Whitney (Solomon’s mom), years before he was born. He’s been long thought of and prayed for, and he’s finally here! A couple of months after he was born, I got together with him and his parents for a newborn session. It’s one of my favorite newborn sessions to date!
Anna Beth & Ryan’s wedding was a celebration shared with all of their closest friends and family, on a crisp fall day amongst the changing leaves. Sonnets and scriptures were read. A low country boil was served. Pies were cut. Dances were shared. Outbursts of laughter amongst family members were heard. It was a day sure to be remembered by everyone present!
Ashlee and Brad’s wedding was a friends-and-family-filled day near Lake Martin, Alabama. All day, they were surrounded and supported by the people they love. Isn’t that one of the most beautiful parts of a wedding day? People from all seasons of life come together to celebrate and committ to supporting a couple as they begin their lives together.
At the end of last year, Lesley and Taylor invited me over one sunny Saturday morning to photograph them enjoying all of their favorite Christmasy corners of their home. These are photos I’ve been waiting all year to share, and I hope they bring you as much joy as they do me.
San Francisco Top Picks: All of the Golden Gate National Parks (Lands End and Crissy Field were favorites!) Any snack or drink from Dandelion Chocolate San Francisco Museum of Modern Art – they have a photography wing, so of course I was obsessed Alamo Square for lounging in the sun Pier 7 at night – […]

This past spring, I spent a few days in New Orleans with one of my go-to travel friends. It is truly unlike any other city I’ve visited! The colors, the music, the food, the “Louisiana French” pronunciations of street names. After experiencing the city’s unique culture, I understand why so many are prone to make New Orleans a constant in their travel rotation.
You'll receive a monthly dose of things that are bringing me delight, links to the latest blog posts, and news about upcoming session dates!
